Join us on Thursday evenings for a course of 10 x 3 hour broad based fashion workshops which are suitable for all skill levels, from beginner to advanced.
You will be able to work on a project of your own choice, at your own pace, with expert teaching and guidance from Jo Poole.
Whilst materials are not provided, you will have full use of our state-of-the-art Pfaff sewing, embroidery and overlocker machines. There is also plenty of workspace and lots of other facilities you would expect to allow you to improve your sewing and dressmaking skills.
Each workshop includes a short teaching session from Jo, the theme of which changes each term and can be on a range of dressmaking subjects such as fabric types and manufacturing, how to read and adjust patterns, fasteners e.g. zips and buttons, types of seam, how to look after your sewing machine, which needles and sewing accessories to use, embellishment techniques etc.
